Makeup by Remi NYC has been officially honored by the Webby Awards in the "Corporate Social Responsibility" category for our work on Shea Moisture's "Black Men Love" short film project. This recognition, bestowed by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) – hailed as the "Internet's highest honor" by The New York Times – is a testament to the power of creativity and its ability to drive positive social change.
The "Black Men Love" project represents a deeply personal and meaningful collaboration. It's a celebration of Black masculinity in all its multifaceted glory, a visual poem that challenges stereotypes and champions authentic self-expression. To be acknowledged by the Webbys for this work is incredibly humbling.
This recognition underscores the importance of using our platform to amplify voices, tell authentic stories, and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable world. As a makeup artist with a deep commitment to artistry and social impact, I am truly honored to be a part of this movement.
